[SeedVault NFT #05] 🌱 SeedVault NFT Project Season 1 Recap: From Digital Seeds to Real Rewards

🌱 SeedVault NFT Project Season 1 Recap: From Digital Seeds to Real Rewards

Why I Joined a Plant-Based NFT Project

Since 2023, I’ve been exploring and participating in various plant-related content and events. You might wonder why a blog dedicated to plants would suddenly feature NFTs. The answer is simple: SeedVault wasn’t just another NFT—it was a meaningful digital project designed to protect endangered plant species.

At first, the project seemed long and complicated. But as I progressed through each mission, I found that as long as I completed the tasks on time, it wasn’t too difficult. More importantly, it helped me combine my passion for plants with new digital possibilities.

Interestingly, this wasn’t SeedVault’s first venture. In January 2023, the Korea National Arboretum had already launched an NFT airdrop campaign focused on protecting endangered plants. Back then, I didn’t know or care much about NFTs—but that changed quickly.

🌿 What Was the SeedVault NFT Collection?

The SeedVault Collection was a collaboration between Dunamu, the Korea National Arboretum and Garden Management, and the Environmental Foundation. The project imagines a post-extinction world where the earth is revived with seeds stored in the digital SeedVault.

Participants, known as “agents,” received seed NFTs and were required to complete tasks to unlock Sprouting Kits, Nutrition Kits, and eventually Plant NFTs. The more successful missions completed, the more impact the agents made—both digitally and symbolically.

I received one Seed NFT for free via an SNS campaign.

♻️ Bonus Reward: Nukak Card Wallets (Upcycled)

I received three Nukak card wallets as a reward.
Nukak is a Spanish upcycling brand that uses recycled tires and discarded banners to make unique products. No two wallets are ever the same—even with the same layout. This eco-friendly tie-in perfectly matched the SeedVault project’s mission of biodiversity and sustainability.
