Exploring a Plant-Based Metaverse Game: My Hello, Farm Beta Tester Experience
A hands-on look at a plant-based mobile NFT game, sponsored on Tumblbug.
🌱 Project: MetaVerse Hello, Farm
🎮 Type: Mobile Metaverse Game with NFT-Linked Farmland
📅 Recorded on: March 2025 (Project launched Nov 2023 on Tumblbug)
🧩 What Caught My Attention
Back in late 2023, Sames Games launched a unique project through Tumblbug, a Korean crowdfunding platform. They were recruiting beta testers for a plant-themed metaverse game called "Hello, Farm"—a concept that connected real-world farming with virtual land ownership via NFTs.
As someone who’s always been curious about blockchain, NFTs, AI, and the metaverse, this project instantly stood out. But what really intrigued me? The idea that robots might actually grow real plants for you. 🌿
🌐 The Project Concept
According to the campaign page:
- Players would own virtual farmland (NFT) in the metaverse.
- That land could be linked to physical farmland, where real plants grow.
- The game would include plant care, character management, and blockchain integration.
It sounded like a perfect blend of tech, gardening, and future living.
🎁 Sponsorship and My Package Shuffle
There were several limited edition sponsorship tiers. At first, I aimed for the Anthurium Package (which included a character figure), but by the time I reached the payment window, it was already sold out.
So I picked another tier for ₩79,000, then realized the plant included would be delivered—and I could probably grow it myself. 😅
Eventually, I switched down to the Syngonium Package (₩59,000), and finally landed on the Philodendron Package (₩29,000) as someone canceled their slot.
Yes, I changed my sponsorship three times.
In the end, I secured a spot in the Tetra Beta Testing Group.
🤖 Why I Sponsored It (Even Though I Don’t Play Games)
I’m not actually into mobile games.
But this one was different. It merged plants with technology, and I was particularly interested in the automated plant-growing systems they were developing.
As someone who runs a plant blog and has grown everything from microgreens to succulents, I wanted to see how this system might work in real life.
At the time I sponsored (Nov 29, 2023), there were 87 backers already and 21 beta tester spots left.
It felt like something worth jumping into—not for the game, but for the future of plant care.
🔗 Project Archive
The campaign is now over, but it was an intriguing glimpse into how plants and metaverse culture might intersect in the years ahead.
