🌿 Metafarm Project Review: Exploring My Digital Plant Farm in the Metaverse
Downloaded from Google Play and Tested on Android
After months of waiting, the Metafarm project has officially wrapped up—and it was a success!
The project reached its funding goal earlier this year, and as of this week, the app became available for download on the Google Play Store.
I downloaded and ran the game, and here’s what I discovered inside this metaverse-powered plant-growing simulator.
🌱 What is Metafarm?
Metafarm is a mobile simulation game where players manage virtual farms and grow plants in a digital environment.
It was originally launched through Tumblbug, a Korean crowdfunding platform, and promised to merge metaverse technology with real-life gardening themes.
📱 Available now on Google Play Store (Android only)
🎮 Game Type: Metaverse Simulation
🌍 Platform: Mobile
🧭 First Impressions: Game Interface & My Farm
When you first log in, you’ll see a world map divided into three large farming zones.
Each player is assigned a unique farm location. In my case, I was placed in Farm 2, Plot 23.
Features I Noticed:
📍 Can view my assigned plot and the plants growing there🪴 Can water my plants using 1 energy point
👀 Can visit other users’ farms to view their plants
🔄 Can collect orbs to recharge the energy bar (3 orbs = 1 energy refill)
Note: At this stage, you can’t travel between farms—you’re limited to your assigned area.
🌿 Game or Gardening? A Bit of Both
The graphics and functionality are still in an early stage.
All plants currently look the same, and the interactions are limited.
But as someone who loves real-world gardening, I found it amusing to water and check on my virtual plant every day. 🌱
While it’s not quite a plant-growing simulator yet,
it shows potential as a gamified entry into digital green culture.
✨ Final Thoughts
Metafarm is a light and quirky way to explore the metaverse through the lens of plant care.
Though still in development, the concept is refreshing and offers a new layer to digital gardening.
As updates roll out, I’m looking forward to:
- Seeing new plant types
- Customizing plots
- Cross-farm exploration
- Potential links to real-world plant data
